This class will cover simple tips and tricks to sew great zippered pouches. These basic skills can be applied to other sewing projects including making pouches in a variety of sizes from small amounts of fabric. Feel confident in your abilities to reuse fabric scraps and make functional pieces.

*Basic sewing machine knowledge and experience required. No part of this course will focus on learning how to use the sewing machine.

• Sewing machine (limited number of machines are available to borrow from Art Salvage. Select option at registration)

• Light colored thread/bobbin

• Extra sewing machine needles

• Zipper foot for the machine (if available)

• Fabric scissors (optional)

• Extension cord

Instructor: Sara has been teaching classes about sewing and textiles for more than 25 years.  She loves all things fabric related and encourages students to try new techniques to learn skills that transfer to lots of other projects.
